With almost two decades of experience in the industry, we specialise in civil engineering and cable installation projects for private and public sectors. Having managed numerous Distribution Network Operator projects from start to finish, LPC is able scale up or down to suit the requirements and budget for each contract. The company has a progressive vision about the industry and a determined workforce as its foundation. We care that projects are managed efficiently and safely, providing a reliable service to our clients.

Our History

LPC Construction was originally formed by Patrick Leneghan, who remains a valuable asset to the team as our Operations Director. In 1997 Patrick was keen to launch a company that was able to provide reliable services to the telecoms industry. As the reputation of Patrick Leneghan & Sons grew, Neil Coates came on board in 2002. Neil’s goal was to work with Patrick to expand the potential within the business, establishing a strong presence in the water industry. The company had achieved a pivotal point in its development, having a solid reputation in providing ground works and construction services to Thames Water, in addition to the ongoing telecoms contracts. As the appointments with larger companies such as McNicholas plc (Skanska), Pirelli (Prysmian), Morrison Construction and McNicholas Construction continued to develop, so did the directors’ vision to drive the company forward.

Having accumulated further expertise and technology, the company was able to deliver turn-key telecoms and high voltage power projects. EDF Energy and Scottish & Southern Energy were using the company’s services for high profile HV electricity upgrades and PFI LV Lighting projects, and the business continued to expand. In 2007, having accomplished good working relationships across the industry, we became known as LPC Construction Limited.

We are proud to be a preferred contractor to UK Power Networks and Scottish and Southern Energy as well as other Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s) as covered by our nationwide status as a Lloyds National Electricity Registered contractor. As principle partners with organisations such as Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNO’s) and Independent Connections Providers (ICP’s), we continue to concentrate on supplying reliable services throughout the industry.

Neil Coates - Managing Director

Neil is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and business development. With a background in local government, consulting engineering and utilities, it was a natural progression for him to join the team at LPC in 2002. Neil’s strategic thinking is the backbone of our operations. Not only does he have the expertise in the industry, Neil has an impressive track record in his ability to conduct positive relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers alike. Neil’s focus is to continue to develop the company’s growth and reputation, in a fast moving industry.

Patrick Leneghan – Operations Director

Patrick formed the company is 1997 and is head of the Operations Division. With the responsibility of overseeing works delivery and resource management, he likes a ‘hands on’ approach to operations. With an impressive knowledge of the industry, and drive to constantly improve on an already profitable business, he relishes the challenge of finding new, dynamic solutions to suit our clients’ needs.

Our ability to complete projects on time is because of the strength and expertise of our workforce. With our established and trusted resouce of Project Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Operatives and Support Staff, we work together as a team. At LPC Construction we see communication and knowledge as the key to ensuring projects are managed smoothly and efficiently. We acknowledge the importance of showing our workforce that they are valued and respected. LPC provides regular ongoing training programmes to encourage personal career development and maintain positive morale and productivity throughout the company.
